RTM | Storm Classic Saturday Standouts
RTM was on-hand in Grand Rapids, MI at the MSA Fieldhouse checking out the Storm Classic!! We had the pleasure of being on Court #1 and watching 11 games of some of the top travels teams in Michigan and the Midwest. These are players that stood out the most to us. **NOTE: NO PARTICULAR ORDER OR RANKING**
Braelon Green | Bates Fundamentals EYBL 16u Red | Ypsilanti Lincoln | 2022 @BraelonGreen1
Braelon Green put on a SHOW!!! With 18 points in one half versus Indy Heat EYBL 16u, Green displayed it ALL!! He made deep threes, attacked the basket and finished above the rim with a couple dunks! Green looks very polished and ready for a breakout summer. It's no mistake Mississippi State offered him following the event. This is his 1st High Major offer and will not be the last. Braelon Green is our Saturday Standouts MVP

Mehki Ellison | REACH Legends 17u | Flint Carmen-Ainsworth HS | 2022 @MehkiEllison
Ellison was the fire spark that REACH needed in both games Saturday going 1-1. He provided instant offense and made plays defensively too. Ellison is very shifty with the ball but can go by you and finish at the rim.
Peyton LaCombe | Grand Rapids Storm 17u UA Rise | Ludington | 2022 @LacombePeyton
Peyton made plays all over the court for the Storm!! His ability to play inside and out makes him a no-brainer GLIAC recruit or higher given his size and shooting ability.

Drew Barrie | REACH Legends 17u | Midland HS | 2022 @DBarrie30
He came into the the Storm Classic after having a great showing at the NY2LA event in Indy the week before. He made shots like a shooter is supposed to do. He was also able to put the ball on the floor and get to the basket some also. Drew picked up an offer from Lake Superior State after his play on the weekend and expect more to come for this shooter.

Juwan Maxey | Bates Fundamentals EYBL 17u Red | Detroit Renaissance | 2022 @juwanmaxey11
The great thing about travel basketball is you can tell when someone has been in the lab!! Juwan's game has taken a huge leap as he made plays the entire game for Bates. His shot is much improved, lightning quick first step is hard to guard. Maxey was the main reason why they were able to keep it close in C2K 62-60 win.

Grant Gondrezick | Grand Rapids Storm 17u UA Rise | Stevensville Lakeshore | 2022
Grant was the tempo controller for this Storm team on Saturday. He picks his spots on when to be aggressive and when to look to score. When he is playing well and getting guys in their comfort zone, they play are successful.
Jalen Charity | Grand Rapids Storm 17u UA Rise | Grand Rapids Northview | 2022 @JalenC03
Very active, long athlete that can attack the rim and also make shots. He impacts both ends of the floor with his athleticism and his shooting will help his interest from D2 or higher coaches.
Brady Titus | UTS Elite NY2LA 17u | Wyoming Tri-unity Christian @BradyTitus2
Brady was BIG-TIME for UTS even though they came up short in Playoff play against Indy Heat 17u Red. He made the big shots when the game was on the line and almost willed his team to victory. Coaches worried about his size, shouldn't. He can create space for his shot and finish in the lane with the big boys.
Joe Francis | Bates Fundamentals EYBL 17u Red | Adrian HS | 2022 @jojobuckets30
If you have ever watched Joe Francis play, you know one thing is for sure he going to make some threes! His shot is kind of awkward but he finds ways to make multiple threes a lot.
Nino Smith | Michigan Playmakers 16u | Warren De La Salle | 2023 @NinoCarter04
The point guard from Warren De La Salle had a very good showing on the day. He distributed the ball but also knew when to attack and create his own shot.
Max Burton | Grand Rapids Storm 17u UA Rise | Williamston HS | 2022 @MaxBurton2022
Tale of two games for Burton on the day. In the game versus REACH, he made multiple threes and finished well around the rim. The 2nd game versus Indy Heat EYBL 17u didn't go as planned for the Storm and it was a blow-out. Win or loss, you can tell he is a high level shooter and play-maker around the rim.
Will Young | Indy Heat EYBL 17u Red | Okemos @youngiiw22
Plays for an Indiana team but still had some bright spots on the day. On a loaded team, still finds ways to impact the game. Making open spots, attacking the glass and being able to guard tough match-ups was key for Young on the day. Playing on a high-level team will bold well for his development in the future.
Scott Hughes | REACH Legends 17u | Kalamazoo Central | 2022
The backcourt with him and Ellison had some bright spots especially against the Storm UA Rise 17u team. Strong attacking the rim and being aggressive on offense are his strong points. Made plays guarding ball and rebounding too, underrated skills for him.
Kaden George | Grand Rapids Storm 17u Wood
One of the top shooters on the day, as he made multiple three-pointers. George is a high-level shooter in that je doesn't need 20+ shots to score 20 points. Coaches looking for a knock-down shooter, this is your guy.
Harrison Sorrelle | MBA Lakeshore National16u | Grand Haven @HSorrelle
Very intriguing prospect... At 6'6, he has very good ball-skills and an eye for the game beyond his years. He shot the ball very well and handled it also making plays for Lakeshore. This is a GLIAC level kid now that will fly way under the radar unless you go see his MBA team.
Mason Woods | UTS Elite NY2LA 17u | East Lansing | 2022 @MASON__WOODS
Being a multi-sport athlete shows on the basketball court for Woods. He is ferocious guarding the ball and when given a lane to drive will take to the rim quickly. He shot the ball well making multiple threes but he simply played hard and made plays for UTS.
